CT Open House Day | Papermaking Demonstration
June 8 • 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM Fairfield Museum and History Center 370 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT 06824 Drop by the Fairfield Museum during Connecticut Open House Day to get a FREE glimpse of how paper can be made from invasive plants and weeds! I will share more about the extensive process, from finding and harvesting plants to drying finished sheets of paper, and demonstrate a few of the steps. June 15 • 1:00 - 3:30 PM | $45 – $55 tickets Fairfield Museum and History Center 370 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT 06824 Join me for a creative journey into the art of papermaking with invasives, presented in partnership with the Fairfield Museum and History Center. I will review the extensive process, detailing every step from finding and harvesting plants to drying finished sheets of paper. After learning about the process, participants will get to try their hand at making their own paper. In the spirit of conservation, the paper from this workshop is made from an invasive species of plants growing rampant in Connecticut. Be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet and messy!
