My mission is to help people reconnect with the Wild and the Creative Spirit.
Well met, friend! My name is Britt, and I am a solitary Druid practicing in Connecticut. Growing up, you could find me imagining unseen worlds in the corners of the wooded parks in my neighborhood, reading anything on fantasy that I could find, or sprawling in the grass to write or draw about faraway worlds that felt so close I could touch them. Not much has changed since then! I am a traditional artist who writes and illustrates their own stories about the Spirit world and magic, and makes their own craft materials like paper, ink and paint from invasive plants and other materials foraged sustainably in the local landscape. I also teach art classes online about crafting with natural materials. The path I travel is one devoted to the compassion for all living things, love for the Earth and her seasons, and a respect for the Spirits of the ancestors, both of my blood and the soil on which I live. It keeps me humble and grounded, and reminds me to put others needs before my own whenever I can. I hope that in visiting my studio website, you may feel at home, and find that it sheds light on your creative explorations and helps rekindle the long-forgotten connection to the Wild. Remember to get outside and feel that childlike wonder when regarding the natural world around you, no matter how mundane it may seem. The world will be a little better for it! Go well, Britt |
